The Missoula Junior Bruins struggled against the Great Falls Americans allowing Michael Houlihan to score a hat trick as Missoula crushed Great Falls 9-1 in a home game at Glacier Ice Rink in Missoula. The Great Falls Americans took the lead before the halfway point in the first on a goal from Kyler Mack and never looked back.
Cody Dearing delivered for his team with 2 goals and Kody Thomas did his part, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).
In the first, Houlihan opened the scoring for the Americans with a goal at 12:46 with helpers from his linemates, Fary and Rath. Mack quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 13:21 with an assist from his teammate Vandenbos.
In the second, Rath put in a goal at 7:47 with helpers from his linemates, Fary and Houlihan. Dearing quickly followed with a goal at 9:40 with assists from his linemates, Mcsharry and Janke. Dearing scored a goal at 16:38 with a helper from Mcsharry. Weston quickly followed with a goal at 17:15 with assists from Thomas and Juliussen.
During the third period, Thomas netted a goal at 1:04 with helpers from his linemates, Janke and Juliussen. Houlihan quickly followed with a goal at 1:42 with an assist from defenseman Rachow. Houlihan scored a goal at 8:09 with helpers from Richesin and Rath. Blondin finally put the Junior Bruins on the board with a goal at 19:35 with assists from Cottle and Jaffe.
