Stewart put in a goal at 4:25 with helpers from his teammates Doner and Walworth. Zubkov finally put Missoula on the board with a goal at 12:36 with assists from Akatnov and Kirk. Dennison deposited a goal at 14:44 with an assist from Zubkov. Cunningham quickly followed with a goal at 15:55 with helpers from his linemates, Moistner and Akatnov. Cottle scored a goal at 18:15 with an assist from Zubkov.
In the third, Akatnov netted what turned out to be the game winning goal at 5:49 with helpers from his linemates, Zubkov and Cunningham. Buller answered for the Quake with a goal at 14:14 with assists from his linemates, Johnson and Moore. Moore deposited a goal at 18:00 with helpers from his linemates, Buller and Doner.
Missoula’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Wiest’s big night as he stopped 75 of the 79 shots he faced. On the other hand, Wiest’s counterpart, Waszczenko, and Yellowstone’s defense did not have such a great night allowing 5 goals in 27 shots.
This win brings the Missoula Junior Bruins’ record to (14-19-1-0).
