Misha Akatnov chipped in with 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) and Cj Odlin delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist). Beckett Patten had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Austin Charnholm contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).
During the first, Blondin opened the scoring for the Junior Bruins with a goal at 0:51 with a helper from his teammate Cunningham. Moistner deposited a goal at 10:17 with helpers from his linemates, Dennison and Akatnov. Todd netted a goal at 13:20 with assists from Cunningham and Odlin. Vincent put in a goal at 16:39 with assists from his linemates, Cottle and Jaffe. Charnholm finally put the Icedogs on the board with a goal at 18:58.
During the second, Akatnov answered for the Junior Bruins with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 7:59 with a helper from Dennison. Stucker answered for Bozeman with a goal at 12:58 with assists from Charnholm and Mcgarrah. Patten netted a goal at 15:46 with helpers from Hanley and Mcgarrah.
In the third, Odlin answered for Missoula with a goal at 2:21 with assists from Cottle and Mattfeldt. Cottle put in a goal at 8:10 with helpers from Kirk and Blondin. Akatnov quickly followed with a goal at 8:59 with assists from Stewart and Dennison. Davis answered for the Icedogs with a goal at 19:57 with helpers from Patten and Mcgarrah.
The Junior Bruins’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Wiest’s big night as he stopped 30 of the 34 shots he faced. Wiest’s counterpart, Orchard, also had a big night, managing to stop 48 of 56, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Missoula Junior Bruins’ record to (7-7-1-0).
