The Junior Bruins struggled against the Bighorns 7-4 in home game

Brian Thomas came up big, stopping 41 of 48 shots throughout the game. The Helena Bighorns took the lead before the halfway point in the third on a goal from Kaden Lindberg.

Misha Akatnov chipped in with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists) and Vadim Zubkov contributed with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists). Kaden Lindberg had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists) and Hayden Seitz delivered for his team with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists).

During the first period, Scheibel opened the scoring for Helena with a goal at 1:17 with helpers from his linemates, Seitz and Cross. Noel netted a goal at 3:53 with helpers from his linemates, Cline and Lindberg. Zubkov finally put the Junior Bruins on the board with a goal at 11:41 with assists from teammates Kirk and Akatnov. Miller scored a goal at 14:02 with helpers from his linemates, Young and Cottle.

During the second, Cline answered for the Bighorns with a goal at 11:46 with assists from his linemates, Lindberg and Noel.

In the third, Seitz netted a goal at 0:18 with helpers from his linemates, Cross and Scheibel. Dennison answered for Missoula with a goal at 2:26 with assists from his linemates, Akatnov and Zubkov. Akatnov quickly followed with a goal at 3:40 with helpers from his linemates, Zubkov and Prince. Lindberg answered for Helena with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 10:04 with assists from Groskops and Cline. Gavrilenko put in a goal at 15:29 with helpers from Pierce and Groskops. Cross quickly followed with a goal at 15:47 with assists from his linemates, Seitz and Scheibel.

This loss brings the Missoula Junior Bruins’ record to (15-20-1-0).
