Misha Akatnov had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) and Hayden Moistner chipped in with 2 assists.
In the first period, Akatnov opened the scoring for Missoula with a goal at 12:49 with helpers from his linemates, Dennison and Moistner. Warner answered for the Icedogs with a goal at 16:21 with helpers from his teammates Hanley and Liner.
In the third, Akatnov answered for the Junior Bruins with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 5:24 with assists from his linemates, Moistner and Dennison. Cunningham scored a goal at 14:59 with helpers from Akatnov and Cook.
Missoula’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Yoder’s big night as he stopped 25 of the 26 shots he faced. Yoder’s counterpart, Thompson, also had a big night, managing to stop 49 of 52, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Missoula Junior Bruins’ record to (6-7-1-0).
